study visa?
To study in Canada, you need a study permit. Most
students call it a study visa or student visa. However, as per the official
Canadian immigration website study permit is not a study visa. So, in addition
to the study permit, you will also need a visitor visa or an electronic travel
authorisation (eTA), which will be issued to you along with the permit. Study
permit allows international students to study at designated learning
institutions (DLIs) approved by the Canadian government.

You can apply to Student Direct Stream (SDS) if you
want to get the permit quickly and easily. Through this program, most
applications are processed within 20 days, while others might take longer. If
you complete your biometrics and meet the eligibility criteria, you will
swiftly get your visa through this stream. If you do not want to apply through
this scheme, you can opt for the Non-SDS option.

per the Canadian embassy, the recommended amount of a Guaranteed Investment
Certificate is CAN $10,000. For Indian students, the amount of GIC is ∼INR
6,01,500.
