Avanse Financial Services in conversation with Rushikesh Pawar, who is set to pursue his MSc in Marketing Analytics from the University of Stirling, Scotland. Let’s explore his academic journey so far, his motivation to choose this course, university, study abroad destination and more.
Rushikesh completed his graduation in BCom., from S.P. College. His interest in the Marketing domain encouraged him to pursue MBA in Marketing from Sinhgad Institute of Management. To gain deeper insights into Digital Marketing, he pursued an Advanced Digital Marketing course from Lavenir Institute of Professional Studies. Currently, he is working with a leading Marketing Agency as a Digital Marketing Executive.
During his stint with his current organization, Rushikesh has been engaged in Business Analytics and Data Analytics space. This piqued a deep interest which eventually transformed into his passion. Therefore, he decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Marketing Analytics. He intends to learn languages such as Python and Power Bi. Marketing Analytics course is a perfect amalgamation of Digital Marketing, Business Analytics and Data Analytics. After consulting with his peers and colleagues associated with the same industry, he made a well-informed decision to pursue a Master’s degree in this domain.
This course imparts inter-disciplinary knowledge of Marketing Management, Operations Planning, Sustainability, Customer-Relationship Management and other interesting subjects. The coursework is engaging as it includes lectures, case studies, computer simulations, site visits, and other interactive sessions. The assessment format is as engaging as the coursework because it has individual assignments, group assignments, presentations and more.
Rushikesh’s search for a university that offers the Marketing Analytics course with subjects such as Digital Marketing, Business Analytics and Data Science directed him to the University of Stirling. According to him, this is the only university that offers the perfect blend of three subjects of his choice. This course will also cover the technical languages that he wants to learn along with Machine Learning. The career avenues that await him are Digital Marketer, Data Scientist and Business Analyst.
The University of Stirling is the 3rd best university in Scotland and one of the top 10 universities in the UK in the Marketing domain. Besides, this university ensures that students get the right guidance to plan their career and hence has an Employability Manager. Moreover, he will be exposed to a real-world working environment as this university has tie-ups with industries to provide hands-on experience.
The UK and Ireland were the two countries that he shortlisted based on the course requirements. His research guided him to the UK, as it is an academic hub that is home to some of the best varsities, especially with his choice of course. His search for a perfect study abroad destination guided him to shortlist the UK.
His course starts on 26 September 2022, which will be an on-campus program. Rushikesh believes that in-person classes allow students to connect with faculty and peers better. The constant face-to-face interaction, according to Rushikesh, is fundamental to the great learning experience. Hence, he was relieved to know that his classes will be conducted offline.
