Student visa for Poland

Students from a non-European Union (EU) and non-European Economic Area (EEA) nation such as India need a D-type National visa (that allows them to stay for more than 90 days but no longer than 1 year). If students want to extend their stay, they should apply for a temporary residence permit that allows them to stay in the country for up to 3 years. Indian students can apply for a study visa after receiving a letter of acceptance from their chosen Polish university. The application process is as follows:

  • Download the application form from the e-Konsulat system, which is a portal available on the official website of the Republic of Poland.
  • You can fill it out, sign it, and attach the necessary documents like a letter of acceptance, a valid passport, proof of sufficient funds, valid travel medical insurance, and academic transcripts, to name a few.
  • Book an appointment through the official website to submit the application form and the required documents. You can submit them in person by visiting one of the Visa Application Centres (VAC).
  • You will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of EUR 80.
