Her reason behind choosing this course

During her stint with her current organisation, she identified the skills she required to escalate in her career graph and decided to pursue higher education to increase her competency. Shallu chose this course as she wants to learn management skills and analyse data better. She has been working in this industry for a few years, and now she aspires to take her career to the next level by learning Project Management. This degree will give her the required edge in today’s dynamic business environment. After completing her course, she wants to come back to her home country and explore lucrative career opportunities.

Her extensive research mechanism

Before choosing Project Management, she was planning to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is necessary to complete entrance exams such as Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) to study in countries such as the USA, Australia, and New Zealand. She wasn’t very keen on investing time to prepare for entrance exams. Therefore, she was looking for universities offering study programs without these tests.

When conducting her research, she came across Algoma University through one of the social media platforms. So, she visited their website to learn about the course, eligibility criteria, and other details. She was amazed by the study program as it included the fundamentals of management. Since she comes from a non-management background, she is eager to learn the basics to be career-ready. This is how she found the perfect course and dream university.

Was Canada always her first choice?

Shallu was eager to pursue an MBA from the US. She checked out several universities and courses. However, most US universities require students to appear for entrance exams such as GRE or GMAT. As she was a working professional, she did not want to spare a couple of months to prepare for the tests. Canada offers several graduate certificate programs that are equivalent to a master’s degree. Also, Project Management will introduce her to the essential aspects of management, and hence, she chose it over an MBA.
