What You Must Know About Princeton University Admission
Eligibility Criteria
Princeton University Degrees are open for international students too. A 3-year bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for master’s degree programmes. The university will accept only one application per student per year for any course. Please check the course-specific requirements before applying.
English Language Proficiency Tests
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Duolingo English Test (DET) will be accepted by the university.
Entrance Exams
Based on the course-specific requirement, you may have to appear for Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). GMAT is specifically for management courses, and the GRE is for all graduate programmes, including management studies.
Other Requirements
Academic Statement of Purpose, Personal Statement and CV are a must. Academic SOP will cover your career plan, experience if any, etc., and your Personal Statement will include the journey that motivated you to pursue higher education. You will have to share ~3 Letters of Recommendation (LORs). Also, you should have the email addresses and the full names of your recommenders ready, which you will have to share with the university when you apply.
Application Process
You can apply online by visiting the university website. Please submit the academic transcripts, SOP, Personal Statement, LORs, CV and other required documents. You will also be required to pay the application fee of ~USD 75, which is nonrefundable. The university doesn’t offer spring admission. So, for the fall admission, the application process will be open between September and January. You will receive a notification from the university between January and March. If any student is placed on the waiting list, the notification will be sent by mid-April.

The tuition fee for the academic year 2024-25 is ~USD 62,400. Additionally, the student health plan will cost ~USD 3,510 per year.
